This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use scholarcalc.com (“ScholarCalc”, “we”, “us”) and how it is used.
Data you enter into the calculators
All calculators run in your web browser using JavaScript. The data you paste or type into a calculator is processed on your own device and is not sent to or stored on our server. When you close or reload the page, it is gone.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records standard server log information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working and are retained for a limited period by the host. Our content delivery network may also process this information to deliver pages quickly and block abuse.
Cookies
ScholarCalc does not use cookies for the calculators. WordPress, which powers this site, may set technical cookies if you log in or leave a comment, and caching or security features may set strictly necessary cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
Advertising and analytics
We do not currently show advertising or use third-party analytics. If we add services such as Google AdSense or Google Analytics in the future, they may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads (including personalised ads, where permitted) and to measure traffic, and we will update this policy before or when they are introduced, including information on how to opt out (for example through Google Ads Settings).
Emails you send us
If you contact us by email, we use your email address and message only to reply to you and to improve the site. We do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing.

Our pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
Children
ScholarCalc is intended for university students and researchers and is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information held about you. Because we do not store calculator data, the only personal information we may hold is email correspondence. To make a request, contact us.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
